Have you encountered the same problem that you can not import 4K footage into Final Cut Pro (FCP X, FCP 7, FCP 6) smoothly yet? I’m a teacher, on the new semester, in order to make my new students to familiarize themselves with each other as quickly as possible , I organized my students a new term fall camp, during the camp, we not only enjoy the beautiful scenery, but also play game and have a an open-air barbecue, I deliberately use my Canon XA45 to shoot some picture and videos to commemorate this memorable fall camp. Now, to better play these recordings in front of my students in the classroom, I need to edit my Canon XA45 4K MP4 files in FCP X, as far as I know FCP doesn’t support 4K MPEG-4 format? Please help me, thanks! – Garfield Oliveira
